Why Wavenetic exists

Most AI vendors sell you an API and call it enterprise. By 2026 that approach has run out of room: regulated industries — energy, transport, defence, banks, hospitals — can't ship customer data to a US hyperscaler, and they can't run a meaningful AI workload on a generic cloud subscription either.

Wavenetic was founded to build the AI products that actually run in those environments. Not "deployable on-prem if you ask." Designed from day one to live inside the customer's perimeter, on hardware we ship, with code our engineers wrote and our engineers support.

How we work

We build public AI products — WaveFlow, chonix.ai, WaveStorm, WaveCode — that anyone can try on the open web. The same code, the same engineers, deploy those products inside enterprise environments behind firewalls. No two-vendor handoff. No partner network with three layers between you and the people who wrote the runtime.

Our open-source orchestrator WaveCode is on GitHub under Apache 2.0. Our NEXUS platform runs in production at ELES, Slovenia's national grid operator. Our blog ships daily — written by the engineering team, not a marketing agency.

What we believe

  • Build, don't broker. If we sell it, we wrote it. WaveOps, WaveFlow, WaveCode, WaveNode, NEXUS — all internal IP, full source control, full roadmap independence.
  • Engineers, not account managers. The person you talk to in the sales call is the person who will write your integration. We don't have a layer of forwarding.
  • Your data, your building. Air-gap by default. No telemetry. No phone-home. The cloud is an option you opt into, not a default you have to opt out of.
  • Open where it counts. WaveCode is open source. Wave Runtime is inspectable. Our compliance documentation ships with the product, not as a billable line item.
The engineering team

We're hiring engineers who want to deploy AI in places it has never been deployed before.

Full-stack engineering

Astro, TypeScript, Python, vLLM, Postgres. We ship products to the public web AND to air-gapped environments. You'll work both sides of that boundary.

Hardware + OT integration

WaveNode appliances, signed firmware, sealed boot, OCPP, Modbus, IEC 61850. If "deploying AI" to you means racking it as much as configuring it, you'll be at home.

Compliance + governance

EU AI Act, NIS2, CER, GDPR, DORA. You'll write the architecture documentation customers ship to their auditors — and the audit trails their auditors will read.

Why Slovenia

Ljubljana sits inside the EU, three hours from Vienna, four from Munich, six from Zürich. Our customers — TSOs, banks, manufacturers, public-sector operators — are mostly within a day's drive of HQ. When a deployment needs hands on a cabinet, we drive there.
